Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic School Sun Shade
Dermatology Associates was thrilled to assist our local community by supporting Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic School in receiving a grant from the American Academy of Dermatology. This grant allowed them to install a protective sun shade in their playground to further protect children from the sun’s rays. Dr. Seely was quoted on the school’s webpage in the following excerpt:
“Dr. Georgia Seely of Dermatology Associates of Virginia, a member of the AAD, sponsored Lourdes’s grant application, saying “Having a permanent shade structure will allow (Lourdes) to further their skin cancer awareness program as well as provide protection to the students and staff as they spend time outdoors.””
