Volunteer Trash Cleanup for James River Park System

DermVA Volunteer Trash Cleanup at the James River Park System

Forty-two volunteers spent their Friday afternoon cleaning up the James River park system on June 14. Groups canvassed Belle Isle for any form of trash. In all, nearly 10 bags of trash were gathered and disposed of correctly.

“I know for a fact we all felt accomplished, grateful and had a huge sense of pride knowing we worked as a team to help our community” Karolyne Estevez says.

“There were many people out enjoying that beautiful day, some stopped us in our tracks just to say “Thank You” and that alone was enough. I know we will continue on the path we started as a team with DAV and take action, whether it be in a group or on our own. We grew closer as a team, got out of our normal routines, made new
friends and gave back!”
